We’re excited to unveil a fresh new brand identity for Newton Heights, one that beautifully reflects the experience we’ve always aimed to create: warm, personal, and quietly luxurious.
Newton Heights has always been more than just a place to stay. Tucked above Akaroa Harbour, it’s a boutique accommodation experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and feel at home in nature. With our new branding, we set out to elevate that experience visually, bringing our look and feel in line with the atmosphere our guests know and love.
The rebrand was about more than aesthetics. We wanted to create a visual identity that felt as honest and inviting as the space itself, one that mirrors the charm of the land, the comfort of the rooms and apartments, and the hospitality of your hosts. The new look is classic but grounded, elegant but never overdone, a true reflection of the Newton Heights ethos.
From the website and brand collateral to our social media presence, everything has been thoughtfully aligned to echo the natural beauty and understated style of our accommodation. The result? A brand that feels as curated and welcoming as a stay at Newton Heights itself.
The Brand Identity and Website were created by Studio Intent

Our recent stay at Newton Heights B&B was the highlight of our three-week tour of South Island. The owner/hosts Brendon and Gail are engaging and gracious, their architecturally designed home is stunning and comfortable and the breakfast (complete with barista quality coffee choices) was abundant and divine. Beautiful views over Akaroa Harbour and easy walking distance to the village. Simply perfect in all regards!

This review may sound a little extreme however as a B&B experience this is a "must do". It's not just the joy de la vive of the welcoming hosts Gail and Brendan or the views from all corners of their beautiful home. Its not just the spa pool, the conversation, the silence as required, the comfort, cleanliness and fab breakfast its the feeling you've walked into the true warmth of an Akaroa experience - it was unforgettable!
