We are very excited to welcome our first overseas guests. Lily and Robert are from Toowoomba Queensland and were our first overseas guests since March 2020.
Lily and Robert started there trip in Queenstown and were doing a loop of the lower south Island. They were excited to be in New Zealand. It was lovely to share some suggestions and tips with them regarding the rest of their trip. They were heading to Tekapo, Mount Cook, Wanaka and back to Queenstown. Robert is a Dr and Lily a Physiotherapist at Toowoomba hospital so they lead busy lives. New Zealand was a chance for them to recharge and explore. They were both very taken by the diversity and beauty of our country. They had hiked different trails, tried out wineries and great food.
We have been extremely lucky with our New Zealand travelers over the past 2 years but it is lovely to start having a mix of travelers again.
Summer is looking busy with bookings coming in from both NZ and overseas which we are looking forward to.
As we head into Winter it is a great chance to slow down take a breath and remember how lucky we are here in New Zealand. It is a time of uncertainty in the world, the war in Ukraine is awful and shows us how life can change in an instant.
If you are looking for a recharge, a bit of pampering and great breakfasts Newton Heights can do that for you.
Both Brendon and I really love looking after our guests and helping them to explore Akaroa and Banks Peninsula.
